Event Overview

A fast‑paced, creativity‑driven building challenge where teams race the clock to turn basic materials into a finished cardboard sculpture. Community members vote for their favorite creations, and cash prizes are awarded to the top teams.

Team & Materials

• Teams: 3 participants per team

• Provided Supplies:

  • Stack of cardboard

  • Three box knives

  • One roll of duct tape

  • One Sharpie marker

• No outside materials may be added.

Event Schedule — October 3

• 9:15 AM — Check‑in

• 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM — Build time

  • Teams may not begin building before 9:30 AM.

  • All building stops exactly at noon.

• 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM — People’s Choice voting

• 2:00 PM — Winners announced

Competition Rules

• Building may only occur during the official 9:30–12:00 window.

• Teams must use only the materials provided.

• Sculptures must remain in the build area until judging begins.

• Teams should keep their workspace safe and tidy.

• All creations must be family‑friendly.

Awards

Cash prizes are awarded per participant:

• 1st Place: $50 each

• 2nd Place: $25 each

• 3rd Place: $15 each

People’s Choice Voting

Community members will vote between noon and 2 PM. The sculpture with the most votes wins the People’s Choice award.
