Call for Art - 2026 Fall Artwalk Poster Competition
The Downtown Lewiston Artwalk is excited to announce a Call for Art for the 2026 Fall Artwalk Poster Competition.
The Artwalk Committee seeks original artwork inspired by the colors, landscapes, and vibrant community of the LC Valley during the fall season.
We encourage both emerging and established artists to submit their work. Artists working in all media are encouraged to apply.
All original work will be featured at the Downtown Artwalk, October 2 and 3. This is an opportunity to showcase your work, connect with the community, and be part of one of Downtown Lewiston's signature annual art celebrations.
Featured Artist Opportunity
One artwork will be selected by the Artwalk Committee to be featured in whole or in part in 2026 Fall Artwalk promotional materials.
The selected artist will receive:
$200 cash prize
Community-wide visibility and recognition
Original artwork featured during the event
All original art submissions will be exhibited and eligible for People’s Choice Award during Fall Artwalk weekend. Note: The selected Poster Competition Winner is not eligible to receive a People's Choice Award.
People’s Choice Awards will take place during the event:
1st Place: $100 cash prize
2nd Place: $50 cash prize
3rd Place: $25 cash prize
Poster Theme: Colors of the LC Valley
Artists should create an original poster design that celebrates the colors, landscape, and community spirit of the Lewis-Clark Valley during the fall season. The winning artwork will become the official promotional poster for the 2026 Fall Downtown Lewiston Artwalk.
Theme Guidelines
Artwork should:
Feature fall-inspired colors
Be appropriate for a family-friendly community event.
Optional inspiration:
Local scenery, such as the Clearwater River, Snake River, surrounding hills, bridges, Downtown Lewiston, or valley views.
Feel distinctly connected to the LC Valley
People enjoying the community, live music, local businesses, artists, art displays, or other elements that represent the spirit of Artwalk.
Deadlines:
Call for Art Opens: Wednesday, July 1, 2026
Digital Artwork Submission Deadline: Friday, August 28, 2026, by 6:00 PM
Physical Artwork Submission: Location and delivery details are TBD. Information regarding artwork drop-off location, dates, and times will be announced prior to the submission deadline.
Artwork Specifications:
Open to all artistic mediums.
Original artwork only.
No AI-generated work or copyrighted material will be accepted.
Physical artwork must be display-ready for exhibition.
Maximum artwork size: 22" × 38"

All submitted original artwork will be exhibited during the 2026 Fall Downtown Artwalk.
